How Do I Know If I Have Hearing Loss?

Signs that an ADULT may have a hearing loss:

Do you frequently ask people to repeat what they have said?

Do you have difficulty understanding the TV or on telephone?

Do family and friends complain that the TV or radio is too loud?

Do you frequently complain that people mumble or that speech is not clear?

Signs that your CHILD may have a hearing loss:

Does your child startle to loud sound?

Does your child respond when you call his or her name?

Does your child follow simple commands? ( i.e. " Go get your ball.")

Does your child use speech and language like other children his or her age?

Does your child do poorly in school or not function at the expected level?

Is your child a behavior problem at school?
